Islington members recognised in latest Honours lists

Mark Pack and Jeremy Hargreaves, residents and Liberal Democrat members in Islington, have both been recognised for their long-standing efforts in promoting a healthy political envrionment.

Mark was appointed to the House of Lords in December. An experienced and respected campaigner, communications professional and constitutional expert, he has been a Liberal Democrat member for 34 years and a constant presence in the party for all that time. Whilst carrying out a variety of roles for the party over the years, since 2020 he has served as President of the Liberal Democrats. Mark has dedicated himself to making politics more open and transparent to the public and publishes both his seminal polling database and informative website and newsletters.

Jeremy was awarded an MBE in the New Year's Honours list. He has served as Vice Chair of the party's Federal Board since 2020 and member of the Federal Policy Committee for 20 years, including 16 as its Vice Chair.  Jeremy has a particular expertise in the area of public service policies, having chaired a number of Liberal Democrat Policy Working Groups concerning these topics. He has also driven the push for wider party membership in policy-making and expanding the diversity of people involved in policy making.
