Islington’s tenants and leaseholders deserve better.

Throughout Islington, tenants and leaseholders have been consistently let down by the Labour-run council.

Residents have faced poor repair services, neglected community areas, and repeated failures to address critical issues. This has left many living in substandard conditions, impacting their quality of life.

A recent report from the Housing Ombudsman has exposed significant failures by Islington Council, including persistent delays in repairs and a failure to meet even the most basic housing standards. Issues such as broken heating systems, leaking roofs, and unresolved safety concerns have left residents frustrated, enduring unacceptable living conditions for months on end.

That’s why we are demand that labour run council takes immediate action to improve housing conditions across the borough. This includes:

  1. Immediate repairs for ongoing issues such as heating, leaks, and structural damage.

  2. A commitment to timely responses for all future repair requests, ensuring no resident is left waiting for months.

  3. Improved maintenance of community areas, ensuring safe and well-maintained environments for all residents.

Islington’s residents deserve better. We urge the Council to prioritize housing repairs and the well-being of those who call this borough home.
Sign our petition today and join the campaign for better housing in Islington. Together, we can hold the council accountable and demand the safe, comfortable living conditions that every resident is entitled to.
