Liberal Democrats Call for Community-Centric Changes to Archway Campus Redevelopment

The Archway Campus holds immense potential, yet it currently sits quiet and unused—a reminder of the challenges many Londoners face in finding affordable, quality housing. Rising rents and uncertain tenancies make the question of "home" a constant concern across the city. There is currently a proposal to develop a tall residential tower on this site, and while this could bring renewed energy to the area, concerns have been raised about the extent of community involvement in the planning process. “Too often, big developers build for profit, not for people,” says Rebecca Jones Liberal Democrat Candidate for junction ward By-election, who believes that development projects often fail to consider the needs and desires of existing residents. “Our community deserves spaces that feel like they belong to us, not just to developers,” she adds.
